The consultation is free
You are not paying to be told whether you qualify.

We are on Hagley Road in Edgbaston, the main western approach into Birmingham, minutes from Five Ways and Broad Street. The consultation costs nothing, so you find out whether treatment suits you before you spend anything. Follow-up appointments are included in the monthly price rather than billed on top.
The assessment takes three to five minutes. A doctor then reviews your health, your current medicines and your goals, and tells you whether an injection is the right answer for you.
Sometimes it is not, and we say so. If your weight is being driven by an untreated thyroid problem, by a medicine you are already taking, or by something that a prescription will not fix, you should know that before you start paying monthly.

You are not paying to be told whether you qualify.
Reviews and dose changes are not separate invoices.
Not a form and an automatic yes.
Both routes reach the same clinicians.
Supply has been the main reason people give up elsewhere.
For when a side effect is worrying you on a Tuesday.
What is available:
Which one you are prescribed:
That is a decision for the consultation, not for a web page. It depends on your medical history, what you have tried, how you feel about a daily injection versus a weekly one, and what you can sustain.
Ozempic is licensed for type 2 diabetes, not for weight loss. Prescribing it for weight is off-label. That is lawful and common, and you are entitled to have it explained before you agree to it.
How long you stay on treatment, and what happens if you stop
Weight is commonly regained after stopping. These medicines work while they are being taken, and appetite tends to return when they are not. That is not a failure of the treatment, and it is not unusual.
So the length of treatment is a conversation for the beginning, not month nine. Ask at your first appointment what the plan looks like after the weight comes off, and what happens to the monthly cost.

You may be suitable if:
· Your BMI is 30 or above, or
· Your BMI is 27 or above with a related condition. Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, obstructive sleep apnoea or raised cholesterol.
· You have tried to lose weight through diet and activity without lasting success.
Treatment is not suitable if you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding, if you are allergic to any ingredient, or if your medical history or current medicines would make it unsafe. Diabetes medicines in particular are reviewed carefully, because combining them incorrectly can drop blood sugar too far.
Every prescription follows a medical assessment, and people are declined. If that happens, we will tell you why and what would actually help.
In person at Hagley Road, Edgbaston, or online by phone or video.
Your health, your medicines, your BMI, and what you have already tried.
If treatment suits you, a doctor sets a starting dose and shows you how to use the pen.
Collect in Birmingham, or have it sent in temperature-controlled packaging.
Progress, side effects, and whether the dose should change. Included in the monthly cost.

It is free. Treatment, if you are suitable, starts at £295 a month, with follow-ups included.
No. You do not need a referral, and you do not need to be registered with a practice in Birmingham.
They work differently. Mounjaro acts on two gut hormone pathways and Wegovy on one. Which suits you depends on your history and what you tolerate, and that is what the free consultation is for.
Nausea, constipation, diarrhoea and reflux are the common ones, usually worst in the days after a dose increase and settling within a few weeks. Anything severe or persistent should be reported rather than tolerated.
No. Ozempic is licensed for type 2 diabetes. Prescribing it for weight loss is off-label, which is lawful and common, and it should be explained to you before you agree.
Not for Wegovy. It is £295 at every dose. Mounjaro is priced by dose and does rise.
Same-day appointments are usually available, and no referral is needed. Whether you leave with a prescription depends on the assessment.

Appetite usually returns and weight is commonly regained. This is why the length of treatment, and what follows it, is worth agreeing at the start rather than later.
