Consultant Private GP and Medical Director
Dr Simon Khela is the Medical Director of Private Medical Clinic and an experienced private GP. He studied at the University of Leicester and the University of Birmingham, and holds Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP), the postgraduate qualification that licenses independent general practice in the United Kingdom.
His clinical interest is in sport and exercise medicine, and in helping patients recover from complex, long-running illness using the full spectrum of available therapies rather than a single protocol. He is currently studying for a Fellowship in Metabolic and Functional Medicine. His practice is built on preventative and personalised medicine in place of a one-size-fits-all approach.
More recently Dr Khela has worked in medical technology, using telemedicine, augmented reality and artificial intelligence to widen access to healthcare. He is interested in how digital tools can change the way medicine is delivered, sustainably and at scale.
Outside the clinic, Simon goes to the gym, reads, and follows West Bromwich Albion.
