Why patients choose our MANCHESTER VACCINATION CLINIC

  • Seen the same day, rather than waiting weeks for a slot.
  • A clinician takes your history first. Allergies, pregnancy, immune status, and what you have had before.
  • Courses tracked and booked in. Chickenpox needs two doses, and the dates matter.
  • A written record of the vaccine, date and batch, which schools, employers and visa applications ask for.
  • Honest about NHS eligibility. If you qualify for free, we say so
  • Salford is easy to reach from across Manchester.

    FLU JAB IN MANCHESTER

£35, one injection, each autumn. Protection takes around two weeks to build and lasts the season, which is why it is repeated annually rather than boosted.

When to have it. From early autumn, before flu starts circulating. Leaving it until December means going unprotected through the weeks it was most needed.

Who tends to pay for it. Parents heading into the school term, people who work with the public, and anyone who cannot afford to lose a week of work to it. One appointment and it is done for the season.

Free on the NHS if you are 65 or over, pregnant, a carer, or living with certain long-term conditions. If that is you, use the NHS route. People pay here because they fall outside those groups, cannot get an appointment in time, or want it done today.

    CHICKENPOX VACCINE IN MANCHESTER

    Two doses, eight weeks apart.

This is the clearest private case on the list, because chickenpox vaccination is not part of the routine NHS childhood programme in the way the others are.

Who asks for it. Parents who would rather not wait for their child to catch it. Adults who never had chickenpox as a child, where it tends to be more severe. Anyone about to live with or care for someone immunosuppressed, where the risk of passing it on matters.

Most adults in the UK had chickenpox as children and are already immune. If you are not sure whether you did, say so at the appointment and a clinician will talk through whether to check your immunity first or simply vaccinate.

Both doses are needed for full protection, and we book the second before you leave.

SHINGLES, WHOOPING COUGH AND MENINGITIS IN MANCHESTER

      Shingles vaccine

Shingles is the chickenpox virus reactivating years later, and the pain can outlast the rash by months. The NHS offers this free at certain ages and to people who are severely immunosuppressed, so check your eligibility before paying.

      Whooping cough, £95

This is given as a combined vaccine that also covers diphtheria, tetanus and polio, so one injection does four jobs. Most private requests come from pregnancy, where the point is passing protection to the baby for its first weeks. Whooping cough vaccination in pregnancy is free on the NHS, normally offered from around the middle of pregnancy. Ask your midwife first.

      Meningitis ACWY, £75

Covers three to five years. Free on the NHS for teenagers and for first-time university students under 25. If that is you, use it.

      Diphtheria, tetanus and polio, £50

Covers ten years. Usually requested as a booster, often before travel or after an injury. If you want pertussis cover as well, the combined vaccine above is the one to ask for.
