Book a blood tests appointment WITHOUT THE WAIT

A blood test can settle a question quickly. Persistent tiredness, unexplained weight change, a family history you are worried about, or simply wanting to know where your cholesterol sits, are all reasonable reasons to want a number rather than a guess.

You can choose the tests you want, or talk to a GP first if you are not sure which ones make sense for your symptoms. Results come back in 24 to 48 hours with a complete GP report, so you get an explanation of what each result means for you rather than a page of figures and reference ranges to interpret alone. Where a result needs acting on, treatment or referral can be arranged straight away.

    What are BLOOD TESTS?

A private blood test is exactly the same laboratory analysis your NHS GP would order, arranged directly by you without needing a referral or a clinical justification. You choose which markers you want checked, a sample is taken at a clinic, and the laboratory returns the result.

The part that matters is the interpretation. A number on its own is close to useless, because reference ranges are population averages and a result at the edge of “normal” may be significant for you and irrelevant for someone else. That is why every result here comes with a complete GP report rather than a bare printout, and why a GP consultation before testing is worth considering if you are not certain which tests actually answer your question.

One honest caveat: more tests is not automatically better. Testing widely without a clinical reason produces incidental abnormal results that cause worry and lead to further investigation without improving your health. If you tell us what you are actually worried about, we can help you test for that rather than for everything.
