If you need a sick note for work and cannot get a timely NHS appointment, our private GPs can assess you the same day, in clinic or by video, and issue an electronic certificate straight after your consultation where clinically appropriate. A GP consultation always comes first. We do not issue certificates without a proper clinical assessment because the certificate must be an accurate medical record of your condition. Once your GP has assessed you, the certificate is emailed to you immediately, ready to forward to your employer.

What is a private sick note?
A private sick note is a medical certificate signed by a GMC registered private GP confirming that you are not fit for work, and for how long. It performs the same function as a statement of fitness for work from an NHS GP, and employers across the UK accept it.
A fit to work certificate is the reverse. It confirms you are fit to return, sometimes with recommended adjustments such as reduced hours or restricted duties. Both are issued only after a proper clinical assessment, and both are emailed to you as an electronic document immediately after your consultation.
