A hair transplant is a once-in-a-lifetime investment, and the two things that decide the result are who performs it and where it is performed. We give you a single, highly experienced GMC surgeon, working in a purpose-built surgical theatre inside a comfortable, discreet Edgbaston clinic - with everything from your first consultation to your final review under one roof. (testing)
The aim is simple: a result that looks entirely natural and lasts for life. All procedures are for adults aged 18 and over.

Every plan is confirmed at consultation. Graft numbers and pricing are quoted to you in writing before you commit to anything.

FUE (follicular unit extraction). No linear scar, and no need for stitches.
Our own CQC-registered surgical theatre at 88 Hagley Road, Edgbaston.
One consultation, one surgeon, one team, and a twelve-month review included.
Your procedure is performed personally by the surgeon you meet at consultation - the same hands from first graft to last.
A private theatre, not a treatment room or a hotel suite hired for the day. Purpose-built, and ours.
Consultation, surgery and aftercare are all here, with the same surgeon on every visit. No handovers, and nothing outsourced.
Hairline design, angle and density are planned to your face, not to a template - so the result reads as your own hair, because it is.
You are quoted per graft, in writing, before you commit. Finance is available if you would rather spread the cost.
Independently inspected and regulated, with full medical governance behind every procedure we perform.

Your hair transplant takes place in our own purpose-built, state-of-the-art surgical theatre at our Edgbaston clinic on Hagley Road, maintained to full surgical standards.
This matters more than it might sound: a proper theatre means better sterility, lighting and equipment than a consulting room, and a more controlled, comfortable procedure. And because a hair transplant is a full day in the chair, the setting is deliberately calm, private and welcoming - the kind of place you can settle into for the day. From your first consultation to your final review, you are cared for in the same clinic, by the same team.
You will see me throughout the journey - at consultation, on the day of surgery, and at every review afterwards.
Most people with pattern hair loss and a healthy donor area at the back and sides of the scalp are suitable, but the honest answer comes from an examination, not a website. At your consultation, your surgeon assesses your pattern of loss, the density of your donor area, and your scalp - then talks you honestly through what is realistically achievable.
As a rough guide to grafts: restoring a receding hairline or temples might need around 1,500 to 2,500 grafts; a hairline and mid-scalp around 2,500 to 3,500; and adding the crown or a fuller restoration 3,000 to 4,000 or more. These are only guides. Your exact graft count, and your price, are confirmed at your consultation, in writing. If a transplant is not right for you yet, or medical treatment would serve you better first, we will say so rather than sell you a procedure.

FUE, or follicular unit extraction, moves your own hair follicles, a graft at a time, from the donor area at the back and sides of your scalp to the areas that have thinned or receded.
That donor hair is genetically resistant to the process that causes pattern baldness, so it keeps growing naturally in its new position. There is no linear scar, as there is with older strip methods, and no stitches. Under local anaesthetic, you are awake and comfortable throughout - most patients read, listen to music or watch a film. Depending on the number of grafts, the day runs from around six to eight hours, with breaks. Exactly how the grafts are angled, spaced and layered is what makes the difference between a result that looks transplanted and one that simply looks like your hair.
First 1 to 2 weeks
Small crusts form around each graft and settle. Redness fades. Most people are back at a desk within a few days.
2 to 4 weeks
The transplanted hairs shed. This is expected and is not a lost graft - the follicle stays in place beneath the skin.
3 to 6 months
New hair begins to push through, fine at first. Early density starts to show.
6 to 9 months
Hairs coarsen and darken. By nine months most patients can see the shape of the final result.
9 to 12 months
Full density and texture. Your twelve-month review is included, and is when we assess the finished result together.
Cost depends mainly on the number of grafts and the area treated, so your exact price comes from your consultation and is confirmed in writing - with nothing hidden until the end. Hair transplant surgery at our Edgbaston clinic starts from £2,990.00, priced transparently against the number of grafts you need, and finance can be spread over time.

Everything you need to know about your hair transplant.
The transplanted hair is permanent - it comes from the donor area at the back and sides, which is genetically resistant to pattern loss. Your untransplanted hair can continue to thin, though, which is why we plan the design for how your hair is likely to look in ten years, not just today.
Not necessarily. Medication protects the hair you still have rather than the grafts, so whether it is right for you depends on your age and pattern of loss. Your surgeon will give you a straight recommendation either way, and there is no obligation.
It is a low-risk procedure in a regulated surgical setting. The main risks are swelling, temporary numbness, infection (uncommon, and treatable) and shock loss of surrounding hair, which regrows. Every risk is explained to you in full at consultation before you decide.
Desk work: three to five days. Light exercise: two weeks. Heavy lifting, swimming and contact sport: four weeks. Sun exposure on the scalp should be avoided for the first month.
The local anaesthetic injections sting briefly at the start. After that the procedure itself is painless, and most patients read or watch a film through it. Afterwards, expect tenderness and tightness for a few days, easily managed with simple painkillers.
Most procedures run six to eight hours, depending on the number of grafts, with breaks for lunch and to stretch. You come in the morning and go home the same day.
Sleep propped up at roughly 45 degrees for the first three to five nights to limit swelling. A loose hat can usually be worn after about ten days, once the grafts are secure - your surgeon will confirm at your review.
Book a consultation at our Edgbaston clinic for an honest assessment of your hair, a clear graft estimate and a full written quote, with finance options and no obligation. Your consultation, surgery and aftercare are all here, with one surgeon.
