Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist
Her research role is substantial. She is specialty lead for dementia and neurodegenerative conditions within the NIHR Clinical Research Network, and holds an honorary appointment as senior clinical fellow in dementia studies at Keele University. She has tutored undergraduates at Keele Medical School for eleven years and served two years as college tutor for South Stafford MPFT.
Since 2020 she has directed Foundation Training Programmes for the North Midlands Foundation School through Health Education England, focusing on career development. She previously spent three years as a clinical director, where she set up locality memory clinics and frailty hubs, and she is currently Associate Medical Director for Quality Improvement.
She is a committed advocate for mental health and for dementia prevention through brain health. A keen runner, she has raised funds for Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK.
