Dr Rano Bhadoria completed her medical degree at Newcastle upon Tyne in 2001, then trained in psychiatry through posts in Nottingham and Leeds, qualifying as a General Adult and Liaison Psychiatrist. She has been a Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS since 2010 and was elected a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists in 2020.
She has held several senior leadership roles, including Associate Medical Director at an NHS trust from 2019, and she teaches medical students and mental health professionals.
Her clinical approach is holistic and biopsychosocial, which in practice means she does not treat a symptom list in isolation from the life it sits in. She has trained extensively in hypnotherapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Neuro Linguistic Programming and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), and is completing accreditation in Lifestyle Medicine. That range means she can offer a psychological therapy as well as a prescription, rather than only the latter
Her special interests are women’s mental health, leadership development, and lifestyle projects she runs in Sutton Coldfield.
